Phoenix, AZ– January 31, 2020 - National Waste Partners announced that it has acquired GK Industrial Refuse Systems. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“We are pleased to have become a member of National Waste Partners. NWP is a solid and experienced company that brings the strength and support of a national organization while offering the close attention of a local distributor to our customer base. Karen and I look forward to working within the company to support their efforts in the Pacific northwest,” said Bruce Gustavson.

GK Industrial Refuse Systems (GKI) is an Auburn-based equipment sales, rental, and service company that has offered high quality compaction equipment and services to Washington for over four decades. The company handles various service needs for customers ranging from design and installation to repairs, paint / resealing, and heavy-duty rebuilds. Since its founding in the 1970s, GKI is widely recognized as a leader in its market. For the past 24 plus years the company has been owned and managed by Bruce and Karen Gustavson.

GKI is the fifth acquisition for NWP, and the first in the Northwest region of the United States. NWP’s current service organizations cover Wisconsin, Illinois, Arizona, and parts of surrounding states. The GKI acquisition adds the state of Washington and parts of Oregon and Idaho.

“As we continue to expand our national footprint, growth in the Pacific Northwest is a strategic priority,” said David Myles, CEO of National Waste Partners. “GK Industrial Refuse is a great addition to our organization given their market leadership position in the region. Their strong brand and closely aligned product and service offerings allow us to efficiently broaden our reach in this important market.”
